Call Forwarding Instructions - Quo (formerly OpenPhone)

Learn how to forward your calls from Quo to ServiceForge live receptionists.

Forwarding your Quo calls to ServiceForge is done through the Call Flow Builder. You've got two options: forward every call, or set up conditional forwarding that routes calls based on your business hours.

Option 1: Forward All Calls

Best when you need immediate, full coverage — for example, when your whole team is out.

  1. Click the Default call flow dropdown at the top of the Call Flow Builder.

  2. Select Forward all calls.

  3. Enter your ServiceForge number as the destination.

  4. Click Create new call flow.

  5. Review the destination, then click Enable this call flow.

  6. Confirm the Live indicator appears.

The "Forward all calls" flow is designed for simple, direct forwarding and can't include extra steps.

Option 2: Conditional Forwarding (Business Hours)

Best when you want calls handled differently during and after hours — for example, your team takes calls during the day and ServiceForge catches them after hours.

  1. In the Call Flow Builder, drag a Business hours step after Incoming call, and set your schedule.

  2. For during-hours calls, add a Ring users step and configure your normal team routing.

  3. For after-hours calls, add a Forward call step and enter your ServiceForge number.

You can place a Forward call step after an incoming call, after Ring users (as a fallback for overflow), after a Business hours condition, or after a phone menu option so you can route by whatever situation fits.

Turn Off Forwarding

To stop forwarding and restore normal routing:

  1. Select Default call flow from the dropdown.

  2. Click Enable this call flow. Forwarding stops immediately.

Once a call is forwarded to an external number like ServiceForge, it's handled outside your Quo workspace. Quo won't record, transcribe, or send it to your Quo voicemail. The call is logged in your analytics as incoming and transferred. This is normal, and it's exactly how we're able to answer on your behalf.

But don't worry - you can access call recording, transcriptions and messages directly through your ServiceForge app for any calls our live receptionists handle.

If Forwarding Isn't Working

A few things to check: make sure your ServiceForge number is entered correctly, that it's a US or Canadian number, and that your call flow is published and live. If it's still not working, we're happy to jump on a call with you to sort it out.
