Call Forwarding Instructions - Verizon

Learn how to forward your calls from Verizon to ServiceForge live receptionists.

Forwarding your Verizon calls to ServiceForge takes just a moment, right from your phone. You've got two options: forward every call, or forward only when you're busy or don't answer.

Please note: Star codes may not work when you're outside Verizon's wireless coverage area, and forwarding to international numbers isn't supported. Make sure you're in coverage when you set this up.

Option 1: Forward All Calls (Immediate)

Every call routes straight to ServiceForge.

  1. Dial *72 followed by your 10-digit ServiceForge number (e.g. *72-999-555-4567).

  2. Listen for a series of beeps, then wait for the call to end automatically.

Option 2: Forward When Busy or Unanswered (Conditional)

Calls route to ServiceForge only when your line is busy or you don't answer after a few rings (usually 3–6). Otherwise they ring your phone as normal.

  1. Dial *71 followed by your 10-digit ServiceForge number (e.g. *71-999-555-4567).

  2. Listen for a series of beeps, then wait for the call to end automatically.

If Forwarding Isn't Working

If a star code doesn't work, or you need to turn forwarding off, contact Verizon Customer Service, they can switch call forwarding on or off for you. We're happy to jump on that call with you if it helps.
