Call Forwarding Basics

Learn the common types of call forwarding and how to send your calls to ServiceForge live receptionists.

Most phone systems use the same standard star codes to control call forwarding. Below are the three most common types. Dial these from the line you want to forward, and use your ServiceForge number as the forwarding destination.

Standard Call Forwarding

Forwards every call immediately to your ServiceForge number.

  1. Dial *72 (or 72#) from the line you want to forward.

  2. Enter your 10-digit ServiceForge number.

  3. To stop forwarding, dial *73 (or 73#) from the same line.

Busy Call Forwarding

Forwards calls only when your line is already busy.

  • Turn on: dial *90 (or 90#).

  • Turn off: dial *91 (or 91#).

No-Answer Call Forwarding

Forwards calls after a few rings when you don't pick up (usually 3–4 rings, or a number you specify).

  • Turn on: dial *92 (or 92#).

  • Turn off: dial *93 (or 93#).

If Forwarding Isn't Working

These codes work on most networks, but not all. If a code doesn't work, your call forwarding may be configured directly through your phone provider — you'll need to contact them to set it up on their end, and we're happy to jump on that call with you if it helps.
