How to Test Your Booking Flow

You've built your Booking Page, added your services, set your hours. Now make sure it actually works before you send customers there.

πŸ”§ Testing the booking flow is the final step before you go live. Get it right and you'll never have to explain a broken link or missed notification.


Test Booking Internally (From Your Calendar)

  1. Go to your Calendar.

  2. Click a date/time slot to create a new appointment.

  3. Select a service or class.

  4. Add a test customer (use something like "Test Customer" with a test email).

  5. Create the appointment.

  6. Confirm you receive the confirmation email.

  7. Check the appointment details saved correctly.

πŸ† Goal: Make sure services, staff, and notifications work when you add bookings manually.

Test Booking Through Your Booking Page (Like a Customer)

  1. Open your Booking Page URL in a private browser window.

  2. Select a service and provider.

  3. Choose an available date and time.

  4. Enter test customer details.

  5. If you've added custom fields, check whether they're required or optional.

  6. Complete the booking.

Check:

  • Your ServiceForge calendar shows the new appointment.

  • If Google or Microsoft calendars are synced, the appointment appears there too.

  • Admin and customer confirmation emails arrived.

  • If payments are enabled, confirm payment was received.

Optional Checks

  • Reschedule or cancel the test booking from the confirmation email and from your calendar.

  • Test SMS and email reminders.

  • If using integrations (Zoom, Google Calendar), confirm they trigger correctly.

  • Check how the appointment looks in the mobile app.
