Homeowners are on Facebook looking for advice and support. When they find your page, make it easy for them to book a job or estimate.
Add a Book Now button to your Facebook business page and let customers schedule directly.
Important: Steps 6 to 10 below are essential. Don't skip them or your Book Now button won't appear.
Add a 'Book Now' Button to Facebook
In your ServiceForge web app, go to Integrations > Facebook.
Click Connect.
Log in with your Facebook account and click Continue as [your name].
Under Confirm your Meta business account, select the page you want to connect and click Next.
Review the permissions and click Next.
When Facebook tells you your accounts are linked, stop. You're not done yet. Next to I would like to showcase my services on Facebook, click Set up.
Confirm your account and service menu, then click Next.
Review permissions again and click Next.
You'll see an Activated label next to the Facebook option. That's your Book Now button live. From here you can also enable Messenger updates and connect Instagram.
Scroll to the bottom of the pop-up and click Return to ServiceForge.
Open your Facebook page and test the button. Any appointment booked through Facebook lands instantly in your ServiceForge calendar.
Disconnect ServiceForge from Facebook
From Facebook:
Log into Facebook and open the page linked to ServiceForge.
Open Professional dashboard from the left-hand menu.
Go to Platform tools > Business apps.
Click ServiceForge under Connected apps.
Click Manage, then click the three dots next to ServiceForge.
Select Uninstall and confirm.
Click Done.
From ServiceForge:
Go to Integrations > Facebook in your ServiceForge web app.
Click Disconnect on the Facebook tile.
Confirm by clicking Disconnect again.
Send Booking Confirmations to Facebook Messenger
Give customers one more reason to show up. When Messenger is connected, customers can receive their booking confirmation and a reminder one hour before their appointment, directly in Messenger.
If you've already connected Facebook, here's how to add Messenger:
Go to your Facebook integration settings and tap Manage integration.
On the Facebook page, select See features.
Click Set up next to Send appointment updates over Facebook Messenger.
Once set up, your Booking Page shows a Send to Messenger option at checkout. Customers who select it get their confirmation and reminder straight to their inbox.
When they tap View details on a confirmation or reminder, they can reschedule or cancel directly from Messenger.
On desktop: Customers need an active Facebook session in the same browser. If they're not logged in, they'll be prompted to do so.
On mobile: Customers need to be logged into Facebook in their mobile browser. If not, they'll be redirected to log in, then returned to complete their booking as normal.
Run 'Book Now' Facebook Ads
Your Book Now button isn't just for your page, it works in ads too. Anyone who sees your ad can click and book, not just your followers.
Open your Facebook business page and click Create ads in the left-hand column.
In the Ad Creative section, find Button label and select Book Now.
In the Website URL field, paste your ServiceForge Booking Page URL. Find this under Settings > Booking Page in your ServiceForge app.
Set your audience, ad duration, and Facebook Pixel if needed. Click Promote Now to go live.
FAQs
I disconnected the integration but it's still showing as active. What do I do? Log into Facebook from a web browser, go to Settings > Business Apps, find ServiceForge in the list, and click Remove.
