Customers browsing your Instagram shouldn't have to hunt for your number. Add a Book Now button to your Instagram business profile and let them schedule on the spot, straight from the app, straight into your ServiceForge calendar.
Note: Your Instagram business page must be connected to your Facebook business page for this to work. If they're not linked, you'll see an error.
Add a 'Book Now' Button Via The Instagram / Facebook Integration
You'll need a Facebook account connected to your Instagram business page and an active ServiceForge account. Remember, Instagram and Facebook are both run by Meta - so the process will be similar for both platforms.
In your ServiceForge web app, go to Integrations > Facebook.
Click Connect.
Log in with your Facebook account and click Continue as [your name].
Under Confirm your Meta business account, select the page to connect and click Next.
Review permissions and click Next.
When Facebook tells you your accounts are linked — stop. You still need to complete setup. Next to I would like to showcase my services on Instagram, click Set up.
Confirm your account and service menu, then click Next.
Review permissions again and click Next.
You'll see an Activated label next to the Instagram option. Your Book Now button is live. You can also enable Messenger updates and Facebook booking from here.
Scroll to the bottom and click Return to ServiceForge.
Open your Instagram page and test the button. Bookings made through Instagram land instantly in your ServiceForge calendar.
Add a 'Book Now' Button Via The Instagram Mobile App
You'll need an Instagram business profile and a ServiceForge account.
Open the Instagram app and go to your profile. Tap Edit Profile.
Under Public business information, tap Contact options, then select Action Buttons.
Tap Add an action button.
Select Book now, then choose ServiceForge from the list of partners.
Log into your ServiceForge account when prompted and tap Continue as [your Instagram profile name].
On the Confirm Your Business screen, tap Next.
Your Book Now button is live and ready to take bookings.
Remove The 'Book Now' Button
Open the Instagram app and go to your profile. Tap Edit Profile.
Scroll down and select Action Buttons.
Select Book now from the list.
Tap Remove Book now button.
Note: Instagram offers several action button types. Make sure you select Book Now specifically to enable self-booking. Any other button type won't allow customers to schedule with you.
