Google Tag Manager Integration

More granular tracking. Better insight into how your Booking Page performs.

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Google Tag Manager lets you add tracking tags to your Booking Page without touching any code. Track page views, scrolls, clicks, time on page, and more, then use those insights to optimise how your page converts visitors into booked jobs.

Create a Google Tag Manager Account

  1. Go to tagmanager.google.com and log in with your Google account. Click Create Account.

  2. Fill in the form fields to set up your account and container, then click Create.

  3. Accept Google's Terms of Service.

  4. Your container will be created and your Container ID will appear. Copy it.

Connect to ServiceForge

  1. In ServiceForge, go to Integrations and find the Google Tag Manager card.

  2. Paste your Container ID into the form field and click Save.

Any tags you create in your Google Tag Manager container will now be added automatically to your Booking Page and start tracking visitor interactions.

Once you've built up enough data, use it to make smarter decisions, update your service descriptions, refine your images, adjust your availability, and watch your job booking rate improve.

Note: If you embed your Booking Page as a widget, Google Tag Manager won't trigger events from it. The iframe is treated as a third-party element.

Disconnect Google Tag Manager

Go to Integrations > Google Tag Manager, remove your Container ID from the field, and click Save. Tracking pauses immediately.
