Drop in job? Extra materials? End-of-job tip? Quick payments let you take cash or card without raising a booking first. Just open the app, enter the amount, and charge.

How To Take a Quick Payment

  1. Log into the ServiceForge mobile app.

  2. Tap the + icon.

  3. Select Quick Payment.

  4. Enter the amount to charge.

  5. Choose the payment method.

  6. Collect the payment.

No appointment. No back and forth. Just payment and a job well done.

Speed Things Up with Tap to Pay

Pair Quick Payments with Tap to Pay via Stripe and customers can tap their card or device directly to your phone. No card reader or extra tools needed.


To enable Tap to Pay, connect your Stripe account in ServiceForge first.

FAQs

What is a Quick Payment? It's a way to take payment instantly in the mobile app without linking it to a calendar appointment. Built for last minute work, extra material costs, and anything that doesn't fit a into scheduled booking.

Where do I find it? Tap the + icon in your calendar. Quick Payment is listed right there.

Who can use it? Any ServiceForge account with Stripe connected. If no payment integration is active, you'll be prompted to set one up first.

What payment methods are supported? The same methods available through your regular calendar payment flow, manual card entry, Tap to Pay (where your device supports it), and cash.

Does the customer get a receipt? Yes. A digital receipt is sent automatically to their email or phone. The transaction also appears in Payment History.

Where do Quick Payment transactions show up? Under Payments > Payment History. They're not linked to a specific calendar appointment.

Can I refund a Quick Payment? Yes, through Payments > Payment History or directly from the payment record.

Can I add a note or description to a Quick Payment? Not yet, but it's coming in the next update. You'll be able to label payments so you and your team can reference what they were for.

Are the fees the same as regular payments? Yes it's the same rates as any other in-person or online payment through ServiceForge.

What app version do I need? iOS: minimum version 6.57.0(4). Android: minimum version 5.33.5725.20250822.
