Set Your Lead Time, Slot Frequency, Scheduling Window, and Cancellation Policy

Control when customers can book, and when they can cancel. These three settings keep your schedule predictable and protect your time.

To access these settings, go to Settings > Booking Page > Booking Policies. Booking policies also has 'Booking slot size' ("How often should available booking slots appear?"). 'Slot frequency' is in 'Calendar preferences' (see below).

Set Your Appointment Lead Time

This is how much notice you need before a booking can be confirmed online. Example: Customers must book at least 24 hours before their preferred time.

  1. Scroll to 'Appointment lead time'.

  2. Use the dropdown menus to set days, hours, and minutes.

Set Your Slot Frequency

This is how often bookable start times are offered: every 5, 15, 30 or 60 minutes. Example: set it to 30 minutes and customers see 9:00 AM, 9:30 AM, 10:00 AM, and so on.

  1. Go to your calendar and click the three dots in the top right corner.

  2. Choose 'Calendar preferences'.

  3. Under Appointment window, pick your 'Slot frequency'.

Tip: 'Calendar slot size' (under Calendar view) only changes how your calendar looks, not when customers can book.

Set Your Scheduling Window

This is how far in advance customers can book. Example: No bookings more than 6 months out.

  1. Scroll to 'Scheduling window'.

  2. Use the dropdown menus to set days and months.

Set Your Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

This is how much notice you require before a customer can cancel or reschedule. Example: No cancellations or reschedules within 24 hours of the appointment.

  1. Scroll to 'Cancellation policy'.

  2. Use the dropdown to set a timeframe (up to one week).

Note:

  • Set it to 'Anytime' and customers can cancel or reschedule right up to the appointment time.

  • Set it to 'Never' and customers can't cancel or reschedule themselves - they'll need to contact you directly.

No more last-minute no-shows eating into your day.
