How to Set Your Status

Use the Status feature to tell our virtual receptionists when you want to take calls (and when you don't) so calls are routed exactly the way you want.

Change your Status in Seconds

  1. Open the ServiceForge desktop or mobile app and go to the Inbox

  2. Tap Status at the bottom of the screen

  3. Select one of the presets: Available, Break, or In a Meeting, or create your custom status (e.g., "Driving", "On the Job")

  4. You'll be prompted to select how long you want the status active for: "Until further notice," or set an end time

What Happens When You're Not Available?

While your status is anything other than Available, receptionists will not attempt to transfer live calls or live relay messages to you.

Team members who can log in to the portal or mobile app will see your current status, so everyone is in the loop.

Quick Facts

  • Default: All users start in Available status

  • Custom status: Add a short label and pick an emoji to create personalized away messages

  • Access: Any staff member with app access can update their status
